I’ve been excited about the development of Vuckic since the year in the Championship, since that year he has had injury after injury however he is fit at the moment so how best to utilise him?
I think he would be a great option off the bench for the first 10/15 games which will mean we aren’t pushing his fitness and we can see if he is cut out for this level. In the 2011/12 season he was hugely impressive against West Brom and he held his own at Liverpool. I think this shows he has the ability to shine at the level as long as he stays fit. He doesn’t have one recurring injury to my knowledge which is positive.
His best position is still to be determined as he can play centre midfield and centre forward. I think he could be the closest we have to a Gerrard/Lampard type midfielder, obviously nowhere near their level though. His long shots are very good which was shown against West Brom. He has been used sparingly in pre season which is understandable given his injury proneness, but he needs to push on this year. Last year he showed early promise but an injury prevented him yet again. I actually think he would have been really useful last season as well so it was a shame.
Do you think he is good enough? Or is he too injury prone? Have your say in the comments below or join in the discussion in the original thread – www.toonforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=5201&p=501073
